my top 10 fav C H R I S T M A S movies

'tis the season for snow, warm blankets, fuzzy socks & pajamas. one of my favorite things about December is watching my favorite holiday / christmas movies. nothing like getting all cozy on your comfy couch, wrapped in warm blankets with your fav beverage of choice & watching movies. especially on those really cold days...

10.)

#10 has to go to the muppets christmas carol. this movie has so many childhood memories engraved in my brain. I remember watching this movie as a child & thinking wow how magical is it that puppets can talk? this movie taught me to never judge someone based on their situations, have compassion & love is all that matters in the end. its also the muppets for crying out loud! so cute!! a classic!!

#9 Jack Frost. I remember seeing this movie for the first time and balling my eyes out. so much emotion put into one movie. its a must see & get your tissues ready because its a tear jerker. I love the bond between the family in this movie. I won't give it away, but the connections in this movie really hits me in the feels. this movie will always be in my top 10 of favorites.

#8 The Santa Clause. I love movies with adventure & this one definitely does. I am also completely obsessed with how cute the reindeer are in this one. this movie also triggers a lot of childhood memories for me, being at my aunt & uncles house watching this movie with them drinking hot coco & being under warm blankets. I remember so much laughter & this is the movie that did that for me. I just love it!!

#7 The Polar Express. do I even need a reason for this one being on my top 10? nope!! visually stunning CGI & the music. oh the music is just BEAUTIFUL. such a classic tale & its all about believing. sometimes as adults we need that small reminder. so many fuzzy feels!!

#6 Christmas Vacation. if you need a good pick me up, this movie is for you. the classy dry humor in this movie is the best. it has the most realistic view on a family on christmas I have ever seen. theres no way around it. I could watch this movie 1,000 times & never get sick of it.

#5 Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town. as a child i have always been memorized with how Santa came to be. as a child too i was always a sap for romance as well. this movie is a classic & has always taught me always be thankful for what you have. the animation in this movie as well is classic. it will always have a special place in my heart.

#4 Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. I always have loved this movie because of the amount of animal characters. But one of the main reasons why I love this movie so much is because its about being different & loving yourself. being in your skin & just embracing the uniqueness of yourself. everyone has a purpose in this life so its just a beautiful thing. be who you are!!

#3 The Grinch That Stole Christmas. this movie is everything to me. from my childhood to my adulthood this movie has been embedded into my life. this classic cartoon has so much meaning in 40 min then a normal christmas movie does. it will forever be a part of me & come on who doesn't love a fuzzy Grinch?! <3

#2 Serendipity. need i say more? this movie is powerful, it makes sense when its title has powerful meaning. Serendipity : "luck that takes the form of finding valuable or pleasant things that are not looked for." such a magical movie.

#1 The Nightmare Before Christmas. this movie changed my life, it brought me out of my shell in so many ways. my love for unique things, that being different is everything, that you are loved, surround yourself with people who love you for you, stand out from the crowd. the fact that its a duo movie with my 2 fav holidays. this movie will always be my #1. theres nothing like it. <3
